Dr. Iván Fernández Martínez, co-founder and managing director of Nano4Energy SL and hiP-V AB. PhD in Physics from the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). His thesis focused on in-situ stress evolution of sputtered thin films for their use in magneto-mechanical devices From his 19 years in the scientific sector he has gained a high experience in thin film deposition and its physics and has become one of the world leaders within HiPIMS technology. Author of more than 40 scientific papers and patents; he transferred a variety of novel HiPIMS processes to the industrial production machines for different applications, such as wear protective, low friction or optical coatings.
